About the vacancy

Deerns is looking for an enthusiastic, proactive web developer who wants to be part of a dynamic international engineering organization that is innovating their business through disruptive technology. In a cross-country oriented team of digital enthusiasts, you will contribute to developing products for our engineers and our clients to help them achieve their goals for their assets and portfolios. The construction industry is currently going through a major digital revolution and Deerns wants to be on top of that change. You will be working together with product owners on designing, developing, and deploying desktop and web applications for to both our engineers and our clients, internal and external use.
Requirements

You enjoy working on an eclectic set of development tasks, you enjoy switching between well-defined production work and innovative research experiments. You are open to experimenting with new technologies and finding what fits best for each project.

You are independent, a problem solver and proactive team player

  • Interested in learning and adopting new technologies
  • Good knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Experience with JavaScript, Python and SQL databases
  • Bachelor or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science & Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, or another relevant field.
  • Communication skills in English speaking and writing are required.
  • The HQ and position of the team is in Den Haag, NL but a hybrid working model is offered (can be discussed).

Nice to have:

Experience with version control tools such as Git/GitHub

  • Will to learn modern JS tools, like Svelte
  • Experience with 3D development such as Three.JS
  • Experience with APIs and data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL
  • Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform: such as PowerBI, Graph, Flow and Azure is a plus.
  • Interest in TailwindCSS
  • Good mindset for software architecture patters
  • Open to move to The Netherlands and learning Dutch
